Nobody expected this one! New Twist! Furious Danjuma!? Everton News Today

Bryan King moots Arnaut Danjuma Everton exit after what happened to loanee at Goodison Park

Goodison News is delighted to welcome aboard our brilliant new columnist Bryan King, the former goalkeeper who spent over eight years as a scout at Everton and 28 years in total in first-team scouting roles. Bryan also spent six years on Tottenham’s recruitment team and 11 years scouting at Aston Villa across two different spells…

Bryan King believes Everton manager Sean Dyche wouldn’t care if the club terminated their loan deal for Arnaut Danjuma.

According to the Liverpool Echo (18 January), the Toffees want to keep the attacker amid interest from French outfit Lyon.

Danjuma is currently on a season-long loan at Goodison Park from Villarreal, where he has scored two goals from 20 appearances.

Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “I haven’t seen him used much. They’ve had injuries in the first part of the season, and he hasn’t been required. It wouldn’t be the worst idea [to terminate his loan]. I can’t see Dyche caring if the deal is terminated.”

With issues like injuries and suspensions certain to impact the Toffees in the coming months, it makes sense for Dyche to keep his squad as big as possible.

Danjuma has massively underwhelmed at Goodison Park, failing to recreate his form from Villarreal, where he boasts 22 goals from 51 appearances.

The 27-year-old could still make a real difference on Merseyside this season, but whether he stays at Everton beyond the current transfer window remains to be seen.
