Troy Parrott has secured a new loan move away from Tottenham Hotspur after bringing an end to his time at Preston North End.
Parrott joined PNE on loan last summer as he was again farmed out by Tottenham.
Prior spells with Millwall and Ipswich Town didn’t go to plan but Parrott did impress on loan at Milton Keynes Dons.
North End decided to give Parrott another shot at Championship action but he somewhat divided opinion at Deepdale.

Parrott struggled for goals, finding the net just four times in 34 appearances for PNE.
The Irishman scored his first goal for the club away at Norwich City but then injured himself in the aftermath.

That kind of summed up Parrott’s time at North End; some good moments, some less good moments.
Parrott did seem to strike up a decent partnership with Tom Cannon as the Everton striker’s movement in behind allowed Parrott to drop deep and get on the ball.
There has been next to no mention of Parrott returning to Deepdale for another year or on a permanent basis.
Ryan Lowe seems keen to move on and Parrott has now secured himself a move abroad.
Dutch side Excelsior Rotterdam have announced the signing of Parrott, taking him on loan for the 2023-24 season.
Parrott will now play under former Brentford boss Marinus Dijkhuizen and will hope to shine in the Eredivisie.
Parrott now follows in the footsteps of former Tottenham talent Marcus Edwards, who also had a loan spell at Excelsior before going on to excel for Sporting in Portugal.
Excelsior also had an Irish striker on loan back in the last 90’s and early 2000’s with David Connolly becoming a club hero having scored 42 times in 48 games.
That kind of form would put Parrott in similar standing with Excelsior fans, but may leave PNE fans more than a little baffled!
