David Moyes’s West Ham United are now reportedly trying to beat Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea to the signing of Elye Wahi.
According to 90min, West Ham United are interested in signing Arsenal and Chelsea target Elye Wahi from Montpellier in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers have identified Wahi as a potential replacement for Michail Antonio, who could be the subject of a bid from Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq.
90min has claimed that Wahi has already held talks with Chelsea over a potential move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Blues, though, are “likely to loan Wahi to Strasbourg”, according to the report, which has added that the Hammers could make a move for the striker.
RMC Sport reported this week that Arsenal have made contact for the signing of the 20-year-old French striker.

While Arsenal and Chelsea are bigger clubs, West Ham have the advantage of being able to give the striker more playing time next season.

Arsenal have Gabriel Jesus as their number one striker.
Folarin Balogun and Eddie Nketiah are also options in attack for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
And let us not forget that the Gunners have signed Kai Havertz, who is able to play as a centre-forward.
West Ham manager David Moyes could easily make Wahi his number one striker.
The 20-year-old striker made 29 starts and four substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Montpellier last season.
The youngster scored 19 goals and gave five assists in those games.
Wahi made 21 starts and 12 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Montpellier in 2021-22.
The striker scored 10 goals and provided two assists in those matches.
