Tottenham have started ‘concrete contacts’ to sign 24-yr-old, Player ‘keen on the move’
Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the English club have now started ‘concrete contacts’ with the German club regarding a summer transfer. Apparently, they are exploring the conditions of a deal.
Tapsoba has been one of the best young defenders in the Bundesliga and he would be a quality addition to the Tottenham team.
Spurs conceded 63 goals in the league last season and it is an area that is in need of massive improvement. Someone like Tasoba could help plug the gaps at the back and help Spurs tighten up defensively.
Romano claims that the defender is ‘keen on the move’ to Tottenham this summer.
It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a fee now. Leverkusen will hope to recoup as much as possible for their prized asset.
It is no surprise that Tapsoba wants the move. It would be an exciting next step in his career and he would get to test himself against the best attackers in the Premier League.
It would accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential.
The 24-year-old is still quite young with a lot of room for improvement. He would be a superb investment for the Londoners if they manage to pull it off.
Tapsoba could partner Cristian Romero at the heart of Tottenham’s defence next season and lay the foundations of a solid backline.
The Burkina Faso defender can play in a back four as well as a back three. He is versatile enough to operate as the right-sided central defender as well as on the left.
